Jherane Patmore

Jherane is the managing director and founder of Rebel Women Lit, a literary community that’s changing the way we engage with stories and storytelling. Rebel Women Lit believes reading is political, an act of self-care, and a way to build community. Their focus on radical, queer, and black literature fuels their bookstore, membership, community library, podcast and projects like the Caribbean Readers’ Awards. Jherane dreams of building an alternative community where people use storytelling to connect and build intergenerational dialogue, and she’s on her way to achieving this dream with Rebel Women Lit’s growing global membership.
